The 8th Audio Developer Conference in London or Online - November 14-16, 2022
The 8th Annual Audio Developer Conference (ADC) will take place this year in person (London) and online. 60+ talks, 9 hands-on workshops, and sponsors that include Apple, Focusrite, Avid, GPU Audio, Audiotonix, and many more, will be present. The event will occur November 14-16, 2022.
ADC is an annual developer community event celebrating all audio technologies from music applications and game audio to audio processing and embedded systems. ADC's mission is to help attendees acquire and develop new skills and build a network of people that will support their career development. It is also aimed at showcasing academic research and facilitating collaborations between research and industry. It is the largest event of its kind.
Program Highlights
Keynotes and talks will cover a wide range of topics and will be presented both in-person and online. This year's Keynotes:
- The Musical Instruments of Star Trek by Astrid Bin.
- Incompleteness is a Feature Not a Bug by David Zicarelli.
Talk abstracts were submitted during the ADC Call for Papers earlier this year. Paper proposals were evaluated using a community voting process in which members of the community voted on the talks they most wanted to see.
Highlighted talks include:
- Point to Point Modeling: An Automatic Circuit Solving Library by Eric Tarr.
- Thread Synchronisation in Real-time Audio Processing with RCU (Read-Copy-Update) by Timur Doumler.

Workshops will take place at the beginning of the conference on Monday November 14 and occur in person at the conference hall. Workshops will allow attendees to experience hands-on sessions with audio industry leaders. We are pleased to add that our GPU Audio and Dynamic Cast workshops will be streamed live to our online attendees.
Highlights of this year's workshops include:
- Practical Digital Signal Processing and Practical Software with Dynamic Cast.

All ADC 2022 keynotes, panels, and talks will be available to all attendees. In-person sessions will be broadcast live to online attendees and online sessions will be broadcast into the venue. ADC Workshops take place on the first day of the conference (November 14) and will require the Workshops Day Add-on ticket for attendance. Learn more information on how to purchase a ticket.
ADC is a hybrid conference again this year. As Covid precautions forced a completely virtual event in 2020, and a hybrid event in 2021, it was decided to continue the tradition of having both an in-person and virtual event to accommodate the growing audio developer community. ADC will take place in person at CodeNode in London, and the virtual event will occur on the Gather Town platform.
An important piece of the conference experience is networking. This year's in-person event will feature many opportunities to interact throughout meals and breaks during the conference. Evening events will include an Opening Reception at Strongroom Studios, Quiz Night, and an Open Mic Night. The exhibitor hall will include a record number of in-person sponsors, demoing their latest products and looking to connect with attendees.
To bring the social element to online attendees, the ADC team has built a virtual conference hall using the Gather platform. Virtual participants will create an avatar and enter a virtual conference hall - visit vendor booths, access talks via conference rooms, and even plan meetings with other virtual guests in private rooms.
Both in-person and online attendees are equally welcome, and we're looking forward to seeing everyone. The JUCE team has been organizing ADC for the last 8 years, and we are excited to keep the tradition this year. This conference is a constant source of inspiration, and with every event I learn new things and make connections with new people.

Special Initiatives
Bobby Lombardi, Chair of ADC, added:
This event would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors and shared vision of the ADC diversity and inclusion initiatives. We are grateful to be able to offer a record number of diversity scholarships and support for our new initiative, the ADC Accessibility Zone.
Diversity and Accessibility are important themes central to the ADC organizing committee. This year's conference will include several events "Celebrating Women in Audio", as well as feature an Accessibility Zone spearheaded by Jason Dasent.
Thank You to the ADC Sponsors
