The Lower Rhythm has released Melodicon, a VSTi synth for Windows designed to be lush, subtly dynamic and fun to play.
Borrowing ideas from a number of different air-powered instruments, Melodicon attempts to create tones reminiscent of everything from flute to melodica, presented in an analog synth / electric organ flavor. Melodicon features dynamic systems such as vibrato, rotary speaker, air and even a tube emulated channel in order to allow the user to build many similar but distinct sounds.
