Tonehammer has released Ambient Guitar, a new Guitar library for Kontakt.
Ambient Guitar is a collection of sounds derived from a number of different guitars. All source material is comprised of live guitar with various effects applied real-time and minimal post-production processing. The focus of the library is the unrecognizable, ambient side of the stringed instrument. There are sounds from awe-inspiring beauty to fist-clenching rage, from the eerie unknown to sombre loneliness, from pulse-pounding horror to gentle, soothing harmony. Taking a small step back from the realm of pure ambience is a select group of bonus post-apocalyptic-inspired, minimalist phrases. These phrases are all still very ambient in nature and are meant to work on top of the purely ambient patches.
- Ambiences, phrases and multi-samples made with guitars and amps.
- Ambiences in core emotional categories for easy scoring.
- Awe ambiences.
- Sadness ambiences.
- Mystery ambiences.
- Horror ambiences.
- Rage ambiences.
- Ambient plucked guitar.
- Ambient plucked bass.
- Custom convolution reverb.
- FX controls (verb, filters, stereo, lo-fi etc).
The library includes over 280.nki files, 2.6 GB, 379 Samples and bonus custom convolution reverb impulse files. This is a standard open-format library, so the full retail version of Kontakt 3.5 or later required.
Price: $99. There is an intro price of $79 until July 1st.
