DF-COMP

DF-COMP is a compressor plug-in that features a collection of classic compressors optimized for drum mixing.

Mode and Vibe

Six different drum modes are available to choose from which are Kick, Snare, Toms, OHs, Rooms, and Bus. Three different compression vibes are available to choose from which are soft, medium, and hard. Each compression vibe is made up of a preset attack, release, ratio, and compressor type that is optimized for each of the drum modes. Throughout each drum mode the soft vibe features a more mild compression setting while the hard vibe features a more aggressive compression setting.

Comp

Three controls determine how compression is applied to the audio signal in DF-COMP. The first is the comp knob which determines the amount of compression that is being applied to the audio signal past the set threshold. Second, is the threshold screw, which controls the point at which the compression will begin to occur. Third, is the mix knob, which determines the balance of the original unprocessed audio signal with the final compressed signal.
