Jailcell Slammer

Jailcell Slammer is a collection of punishing percussive hits created entirely from real recordings of the cell doors of Alcatraz Prison. In the historic California prison, cell doors were engineered to be able to be closed a full row at a time. Audio Genetics Lab captured field recordings of these doors slamming shut inside the actual prison acoustics of Alcatraz. The Researchers at A.G.L. have created a Kontakt-based sample library of hits, impacts, ramps, and sub-booms derived from those massive recordings.
