The first version of Noisebud Chokidar EQ was introduced in late 2015. It had two qualities that made it stand out from other similar EQs; The bands had a flat shape (a copy from an analog filter design) and it was also 100% level compensated, which at the time was rare. These two qualities made Chokidar EQ easy to work with, the flat curves made it possible to boost the mids and highs without making it sound harsh and the gain compensation made it easy to hear if the settings are useful or not.
Since then, the range of EQ options available has increased greatly, but Chokidar still stands out as a fast and efficient EQ. It's perfect for mastering purposes and is an efficient and enjoyable tool for anyone looking to get the most out of their sound.
