Dark Matter is a Geist Expander with drum sounds designed for gritty urban and electronic music. Carefully selected drum recordings by S. Husky Hoskulds (creator of the 8 Bit Kit BFD expansion) are transformed using Geist's sculpting and processing to provide dirty, fractured and atmospheric sounds ready to drop into your tracks.

Included is a wide range of acoustic drums, cymbals and hihats arranged onto 8-layer Geist pad presets, alongside compiled kit and preset files which are ready to jam with. The additional processing carves new shapes from the unique kits and natural room reverb at LA's Sound Factory studios. Finally, a bonus set of synthetic ambient loops and textures is also provided, intended to inspire drone and soundscape creation. Dark Matter is perfectly suited to IDM, dubstep, hip-hop, industrial, ambient and other types of experimental music.

Dark Matter features loops, kits and presets for FXpansion's Geist software. Samples are supplied in 24-bit 44.1kHz WAV and RX2 formats and can be loaded into any software or hardware that supports them.

Highlights:

  • Geist Expander with gritty, processed acoustic drums for experimental music.
  • 1150 WAV samples, 64 RX2 loops.
  • 135 multi-sampled Pad sounds.
  • Over 700MB of content in total.
