Very simple and very effective tuner. Doesn't look fancy, but there are nicer skins for the download... I didn't bother. The standard look is completely to the point.
Accuracy tested against my preferred hardware tuner: Korg CA-40. Spot on. The Korg can show just a little bit more detail visually with its LCD needle display. In GTune you have to look at one of the numerical values for that last bit of detail. Not that I think you'll need it though.
I wish more software were like this: just what you need, no more and no less. Makes life a lot easier. I very much prefer to work with separate simple but quality VSTs than with a big beast containing multiple effects etc.
Thanks a lot to the author, Graham Yeadon.
Just ramblin' on to fill the 1000 characters. Sorry for the messed-up ratings too. I gave a 10 to everything that simply doesn't apply in this case, such as sound, features, presets, support etc. Not available, not tested but definately not needed in this case. Enjoy a simple little useful tool.
You just have to download the full bundle here (choose the last version and mirror 1) and install the bundle. When installing, you will choose "MFreeFXBundle" to avoid to install the payware plugins. Hence only the free plugins will be installed, including the MTuner. That's all. There is gang screen when you open it (simply to suggest a donation) but all these tools from the MFreeFXBundle are totally free and fully functional forever.
This MTuner is certainly the best tuner you will find.
