It's not awesome if I can't figure out how to get it working. I'm on Linux. It runs, but I don't know how to use it. Will it load VST plugins on Linux? That's not clear. There's no documentation I can find. I need a basic tutorial. Since I can't get audio out of Reaper on Linux or under VirtualBox on Linux, Helio might be my choice of DAW! If I could figure out how to start using it.

It loads VST's: hover mouse over workspace tab click sax icon ('instruments'), Then do as your told, and click to search instruments! ... you have to scan for vst(i)'s first. Then instantiate the one's you want, or remove what you don't. The rest of the sequencer is like others but more focused on music.

I agree with Simon and smooth, first test it seems awesomeawesome.

it's my first comment on KVR

I don't know what to say, about this. A Manual would be nice but alle the features are explaining on its own if you go with your mouse into the menues.
Capable of Loading in MIDI data, has a inbuild chordprogression function with 11 progressions to choose for each note (which is the point mostly convinced me to keep this) also allow you to automate CC.
You can export your MIDI datas and the resulting audiodata. Capable of Loading VST and VST3 instruments (finally a big use for DecentSampler, Sforzando, soundfonts etc in my opinion).

It's not capable of loading effects, however you can still access the functions and sliders of the GUI of the VSTs you load in.
CPU friendly.

At least it kinda works like Freeware sequencers like Stochas or librearp which make this kinda easy to get in.

high respect to the developers.
