Oxid is a software instrument for Microsoft Windows (VST2/VST3/CLAP/AAX) and Apple macOS (VST2/VST3/CLAP/AU/AAX) simulating the classic ARP Omni-2 String Synthesizer from the 1970s. It is written in native C++ code for high performance and low CPU consumption.

  • Close simulation of the original hardware.
  • 64 voices polyphony.
  • String and Synthesizer sections.
  • Paraphonic madness.
  • Additional Phaser and Delay effects.
  • Resizable user interface (not "N" version.).
  • MIDI Learn – all parameters can be controlled by MIDI CC.

This new string synth is here, and I like the GUI of this. Who cares what the people think about the awesome VST of Oxid? Well:

  1. The keyboard superimposed into this GUI of Oxid looks kinda epic.
  2. The sounds are amazing.
  3. The paraphonic mode is kind of nice.
  4. It creates synthesizing string sounds and many more.
  5. And I give it a 5/5.
