The Eddie Kramer Phazevibe pedal by F-Pedals is unique because it is not the clone of anything else.

It has been receiving great ratings by many musicians around the world and it is included in the top list, (along with the Echobandit by F-Pedals) of the "must have pedals" posted on Premier Guitar by sound guru Pete Thorn.

The Eddie Kramer Phazevibe Plugin, Pedal version, is modeled after the original F-Pedal Phazevibe.

Pedal version feature 3 modes of phaser effects that are selected by a slide switch:

  • Mode 1 - Classic Vintage Phaser: The big red speed knob allows the user to range from a classic phaser through a vibrato and even a Leslie-ish effect.
  • Mode 2 - Phase-Wha: A phaser with a hint of wha-wha when used on low speed that become auto-wha as you increase the speed up to a very unique vibrato.
  • Mode 3 - Phase-Univibe: A phaser with a hint of univibe when used on low speed that become an Hendrix Uni-Vibe sound as you increase the speed. This mode is incredibly warm and can offer a beautiful and smooth vibrato.

The Pedal version is a very faithful reproduction of its analog hardware version, with the same warm and silk tone, developed with and inspired by the work of legendary music producer Eddie Kramer.

Pedal features:

  • Level Knob: Turning the Level control clockwise increases the amount of signal going to the output. This control can be used to balance the level of the processed signal with the original signal level.
  • Tone Knob: Modifies the tone or sound of only the processed signal. When the Tone control is straight up, the processed signal is unchanged. Turning the Tone control clockwise boosts the high frequencies (treble) of the processed signal, and turning the Tone control counter-clockwise rolls off the high frequencies of the processed signal.
  • Speed Knob: Turn the Knob clockwise to increase and counter-clockwise to decrease the speed of the modulation.
  • FootSwitch On/Off: Switches the distortion effect In/Out of the signal path.

Whenever you play an incredibly good and authentic sounding guitar amp sim or a guitar pedal sim, that just nails the tone, so that you cannnot help start grinning like a Cheshire cat while playing, chances are extremely good that Mr. Nembrini has programmed them. (My experience.).

He seems to have the unique talent, to not only making his simulations sound authentic, but also they behave and react like the real gear, so that you also can play them just like the real world originals.

The Eddie Kramer / F-Pedals designed Phazevibe just sonds great and very musical. No only, but also recommended - of course - for Hendrix-fans, nevertheless you get a lot of different, more or less timeless great tones out of it, which you maybe also can get with an individual, more complicated effects chain, but alone for this you will need a very good sounding vintage phaser, a good sounding wah and / or auto wah, an equalizer, an authentic univibe and a good Leslie-rotary simulation and then you just have to start adjusting everything right and need to know how to mix all this properly together, to get some comparable sounds. Phazevibe offers you these kind of (legendary) tones summed up and yet widely controllable with just a single or at least some few knobs.

The vivid, pulsating Phazevibe tones are a good combination - and alternative to the usual clean (tremolo/vibrato plus) spring reverb standard - especially with a good, cleaner adjusted Plexi or Tweed amp sim, but also work fine at higher gain settings and with more modern amp designs. Also they are, I think, not only useful for guitars. Also eg. Bass, Organ, Synthesizers, ... really can sound fantasic through it.

The original pedal is great and really unique. And so is this plugin! The rack version even allows some more additional tweaking options, which the real pedal doesn't offer.
