TesslaSE is all about signal coloration effects and taking them from the analog to the digital domain. It slightly colors the sound, polishes transients and adds depth and dimension to the stereo field. All that analog goodness in subtle doses. It's a mixing effect designed to be used here and there, where the mix demands it. It offers a low CPU profile and (almost) zero latency.

The updated mkIII version got enhanced in three main areas:

  • The high frequency control has been adopted as a color control for the transformer circuit, giving further access to the amount and details of the transformer sound.
  • The depth control has been replaced by an option to adjust curve shapes for saturation or limiting needs.
  • Anti-Derivative Anti-Aliasing (ADAA) has been added which, in combination with internal oversampling, further improves aliasing suppression.

In addition, the transformer model have been improved, particularly in terms of low frequency handling and interaction with the saturation stage. Calibration/Gainstaging has been changed to -12dBFS. The mkIII update has a new plug-in ID and can be used in parallel with the previous version.
