Get the sound of the Sandberg Basic Ken Taylor RW 4 quilted maple in your DAW as a virtual instrument.
Sandberg is the second largest bass company in Germany, producing absolute top-quality instruments. The smell of this beautiful woodwork in the shape of a VST3 and AU plug-in will burn your DAW.
Are you an instrument and sound geek just like we are? We love to sample real instruments and transform them into a virtual instrument so you can enjoy the sound via MIDI. One of our goals is to make it sound human-like. That's why we offer up to four velocity groups, a round-robin size of up to eight samples which are all recorded in high resolution. Don't worry if you don't know what all of this means. Another aim of ours is to keep it simple for the user.
Our plug-in is made for easy usage so all the technical things stay under the hood. Just install the plug-in and start to play and record using a MIDI keyboard. Of course, for our advanced users we offer key switches, automation parameters and more options to get more out of the box. Yet we think it does not require a thousand knobs to sound good.
What this plug-in does is it provides you with the Sandberg bass in a digital way to play it in your DAW by using the MIDI protocol. The bass is made of some fine woods: quilted maple top (rare wood), mahogany body, Canadian maple fretboard and neck. It is powered by two Sandberg "Powerhumbucker" who can be played as a humbucker or single coil. We recommend using the clean direct output signal (unprocessed signal without fx, amp, or pedals) and using your own third-party plug-ins for the sound modification. Still, our plug-in contains three onboard processed signals that you can use without any other plug-ins.

I just got this Bass Vst, and already I am VERY impressed! You can get a number of bright, clear, natural tones out of it. Raise the humanize a bit, use a bit of vibrato here and there, and you can produce an utterly convincing bass performance. I've been playing bass and keyboards as a full time pro for 35 years, and I don't impress easily. But this is a steal at this price! So natural.

We appreciate those kind words, thank you very much. We also love your uploaded song with our plug-in in usage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qCv_2cz9OU
I have only tried the plugin on one song, therefore this may not be a fair assessment. I was really impressed with the wide range of tones that I could get out of it. I already had my bass lines recorded on a MIDI track so I was free to play around for a bit. It has a lot more features than all my other bass plugins and was easy to navigate. I wasn't familiar with the instrument that this was modeled after so it was good to get it into my arsenal.
That's great to hear! We just released a new bass instrument plugin, maybe you're interested. It was sampled from an ESP E-II bass: https://www.kvraudio.com/product/virtual-eii-btl-midi-rock-bass-by-pfundstein-audio-plugins
If you're experimental and open for new tones and sounds I'd recommend to check out our 8-String bass guitars, too: https://www.kvraudio.com/product/virtual-bassline-buster-std8-plus-8-string-by-pfundstein-audio-plugins
