Embertone releases 8 instruments (2 Free) for Kontakt

11th July 2012

Embertone, a new sampling company, has released eight new instruments (two of which are free). Several of the instruments feature true-legato programming, and all of the products were created from the ground up in Kontakt 4.2.4, backed by the powerful and flexible KSP scripting language.

Their flagship instruments are:

Atmoraffe (FREE) - a super stretched squeezy toy designed to keep the user giggling for quite some time.

Intimate Strings LITE (FREE) - an expressive, true legato patch consisting of 4 virtuoso strings players performing in unison. The full collection includes deeper patches with many more features.

Chapman Trumpet ($30) - Designed to be an affordable, yet life-like instrument. Programmed to give the user a responsive sound/feel.

Glockenpillar ($15) - a mutant cross-breed of glockenspiel and caterpillar. Sampled with 8 velocity layers and 8 round robins so that the user will rarely hear the same sample twice. Custom IRs come included, and an interface to customize key release/attack and EQ.

Ivory Wind ($10) - an 80-year old tenor recorder made from real wood and ivory. It is designed to have an intimate sound, distinctive and rich, with true legato programming.

Jubal Flute ($15) - a one-of-a-kind instrument that was found collecting dust in a local music shop. It's made out of hemlock, light as a feather, and has an earthy yet very flute-like sound.

Ocarina: Amaya ($18) - another true legato instrument. Ocarina:Amaya has 2X RR legato plus 2X RR portamentos, with an additional option to bump up the variation with RR neighbour borrowing.

Tiny Grand ($25) - an intricately sampled, 30-note toy piano with 9 velocity layers and 10X round robins.
