Too bad not velocity sensitive.
This is the only reason I will not buy the Hapax.

I bought one. Pre-ordered for the September batch. I plan to use it with my Linnstrument, and several hardware synths that are MPE compatible. I assume it will be limited at first, and then expand. I've heard (over at Electronauts) that the Pyramid won't be getting any more feature updates as its hardware has reached the maximum, and that the Hapax is going to be getting their attention now (which I assume means it has a lot more capability under the hood). Like others, I bought it on impulse, wanting a nice hardware sequencer (don't use my MPC one--don't like the workflow and like the OT but forget how to use it every time I step away from it for more than a few days). I was also considering the Deluge and the Polyend Play, but this looked the most promising in terms of capabilities and UI.

It’s great. The only thing I miss are some of the more “modular” and CV-based sequencing concepts that you get in something like the Vector Sequencer. But of course that doesn’t have MPE recording.
