Acousticsamples releases Sunbird for UVI Workstation

Acousticsamples has announced the release of Sunbird, a sample library based on a 1962 Gibson Humming acoustic guitar, for the free UVI Workstation.

The HummingBird guitar was created in 1960 by Gibson and was the first square-shouldered dreadnought. It was designed to be extremely versatile so that it can cover many music genres and have a deep tone without being too powerful, which is ideal to accompany a voice.

It is in this spirit that it was sampled. Together with a powerful strum, pattern and song engine, the Sunbird library is a great tool to create accompaniments.

Main features:

• Microphones: The Sunbird library was sampled with 3 microphone perspectives that you can load, enable and mix from the interface.
• Strumming machine: The Sunbird can strum, in various ways, up, down, muted, in legato and allows finger picking.
• Chord recognition: Recognising a chord is made through a database of thousands of standard chords, and you can edit every one of them or add your own.
• Realistic patterns presets: You can choose from a large selection of patterns to create a full song in a few clicks.
• Pattern maker: Creating realistic guitar patterns has never been easier. You can create strumming, picking, or finger picking patterns in seconds and then share them with other users.
• Song Builder: Sometimes playing a series of chords can be complicated, especially if you are not an advanced keyboardist. The song builder allows you to decide which chord will be triggered when selecting only one note.
• Lossless compression: The Sunbird uses the popular FLAC lossless compression format (UVI Workstation 2.5.4 is required to use it) to increase the streaming performances and loading time without losing any audio quality. You also save space, a lot, the library goes from more than 8GB uncompressed to 1.5GB.
