Attila M. Magyar updates JS80P to v3.1.0 for Windows and Linux

Attila M. Magyar has announced the release of version 3.1.0 of JS80P, a MIDI driven, performance oriented, free and open source synthesizer VST plugin for Linux and Windows.

The 3.1.0 version is fully backward-compatible with previous versions, so all existing patches and projects can be loaded without problems.

Main changes:

• New envelope update modes enable semi-polyphonic MIDI CC and channel pressure (aftertouch), with either last key, oldest key, lowest key, or highest key priority.
• Customizable distortion types, harmonic distortions, etc.
• Option to ignore the primary interpretation of the sustain pedal and use it as a 0% / 100% toggle switch without affecting note lengths.
• Reverb room size can now be adjusted as well.
• External audio input can now be mixed into the effects chain, so the plugin can also be used as an effect.
  (Note: using a synth plugin as an effect can be quirky in some host applications, and it may require some experimentation with track and bus layout, signal routing, plugin types, and plugin settings.).
• Bugfix: centered LFOs will not be clamped when MIN and MAX values are inverted.

JS80P comes with two oscillators (and a sub-harmonic sine), and a lot of filters, effects, envelopes, LFOs, and powerful macros to shape the sound with subtractive, additive, FM, PM, and AM synthesis, complete with polyphonic, monophonic, and split keyboard modes.
