Steinberg has announced the release of SpectraLayers 11, a significant update to their spectral audio editing software. The new version focuses on enhanced AI integration and precision tools, offering improvements in music, sound design, restoration, and repair workflows.
SpectraLayers 11, which features greater integration of AI and precision tools to significantly raise the bar of spectral audio editing for music, sound design, restoration, and repair. With more instrument categories for unmixing, much-improved voice recognition, enhanced editing, and workflow options which include process chaining, batch processing, an improved user interface and much more, SpectraLayers 11 lifts the industry standard for innovation, power, and convenience in spectral audio editing to a new level.
The SpectraLayers 11 user interface has also been redesigned to accommodate the ever increasing number of available processes, which are now presented as Modules in their own dedicated panel to deliver a significant uptick in workflow speed and efficiency.
Key Enhancements:
- Unmixing: New modules for separating lead and background vocals, isolating crowd noise from performances, and improved AI-driven song unmixing (up to 7 instruments).
- Speech Processing: AI-powered voice declipping and enhanced denoising with a "strong noise" option.
- Workflow and UI: Redesigned interface with module-based processes for easier chaining and batch processing, along with a new home screen and compact panels view.

Availability and Pricing
SpectraLayers 11 Pro is available for €299 (or $299.99 USD). SpectraLayers Elements 11 is available for €79.99 (or $79.99 USD). Updates from previous versions are available from the Steinberg website.
Users who have activated SpectraLayers 10 (or earlier versions 6-9) on or after May 15, 2024, are eligible for a free update to the latest version.
