Bunker Samples has released Intimate Cello Iremia - soft solo textures for Kontakt.

The Iremia solo strings series is based on the idea that it is the tiny, little details and imperfections in a sound that makes it feel intimate and human, so to capture these, we chose to focus on only very soft playing techniques, recorded very close - in fact, the closest microphone perspective in Intimate Cello was placed inside the instrument itself. The result is a solo cello library that feels intimate, fragile and human.

To further explore the softest dynamics, every articulation and technique in Iremia was recorded both with and without mute, and with the crossfade patches you can even seamlessly morph between the two, so while the focus is soft sound, this is still a very expressive and dynamic instrument.

The included 11 different sustains span the range from a whisper quiet ppp to a more robust, but still soft single p, while the 10 moving and evolving textures are improvised in nature and particularly useful for chordal playing with different notes randomly poking out of the texture. Also included are 3 different natural swells, each in 4,3,2 and 1 second lengths.

Intimate Cello - Iremia is identical to its sister library Intimate Viola in concept, articulations, microphone perspectives and GUI, so the two should work well together.

Intimate Cello contains 3465 samples, is 8.33 GB installed size and requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt 6.7.1 or later.
