Source Audio releases Pathways Reverb & Tremolo - Dual-Engine Effects Pedal

24th March 2026

Source Audio has announced the release of Pathways, a dual-engine pedal that combines reverb and tremolo processing into a single compact unit.

Designed for both traditional and modern applications, the pedal features independent control over both effect sections, allowing users to run them individually or in combination.

The reverb engine contains seven distinct algorithms modeled after historical hardware and acoustic environments. These include "Spring," modeled on American tube amplifier circuits; "Tank," recreating the "drip" of outboard spring units; and "Plate," for smooth studio-style decay. Additional modes include "Slap" for tape-style echoes, "Hall" for expansive ambience, and "Room" and "Echo" for natural spatial reflections.

The tremolo section offers three primary modulation types: "Bias" for warm, tube-like fluctuations; "Opto" for a more pronounced rhythmic pulse; and "Harmonic" for frequency-dependent movement. The pedal's interface provides dedicated footswitches for each effect and immediate access to parameters, bypassing the need for menu diving during live performance or studio tracking.

Pathways integrates with the Neuro 3 software ecosystem, granting users access to deep editing parameters, preset sharing, and an expanded library of sounds. The hardware supports full MIDI implementation, stereo I/O, and tap tempo for the tremolo engine.
