Pathways is a dual-engine effects pedal from Source Audio that integrates seven reverb algorithms and three tremolo engines into a single, compact hardware unit. Designed as a successor to the True Spring Reverb, Pathways expands the sonic palette with a wider range of spatial and rhythmic processing, allowing for the independent or simultaneous use of both effects. The pedal utilizes 56-bit Sigma DSP and 24-bit converters to maintain high-fidelity signal paths, catering to the needs of professional guitarists, keyboardists, and sound designers.

The reverb section provides diverse modeling of historical and acoustic spaces, including two spring variations, studio-grade Plate, and large-scale Hall algorithms. On the modulation side, the pedal includes Opto, Harmonic, and Bias tremolo modes, which can be synced via an onboard tap tempo or external MIDI clock. With deep integration into the Neuro 3 software ecosystem, users can access an extended set of parameters and signal routing options—including parallel, serial, and split-stereo configurations—that are not available via the physical control surface.

Key Features

  • Seven Reverb Algorithms: Includes Spring, Tank, Plate, Slap, Hall, Room, and Echo engines.
  • Three Tremolo Modes: Bias, Opto, and Harmonic tremolo circuits available for simultaneous use with any reverb engine.
  • Dual-Footswitch Interface: Independent engage/bypass switches for the Reverb and Tremolo engines.
  • Advanced Preset Management: 16 user presets accessible directly from the hardware; 128 presets accessible via MIDI.
  • Flexible Stereo I/O: Supports multiple routing configurations including Mono-to-Mono, Mono-to-Stereo, and Stereo-to-Stereo.
  • Neuro 3 Integration: Connect via USB-C to the Neuro Desktop or Mobile App for deep editing, preset sharing, and routing customization.
  • Universal Bypass: User-selectable between relay-switched True Bypass and transparent Analog Buffered Bypass.

Technical Specifications

  • Dimensions: 4.5" x 2.75" x 2" (L x W x H).
  • Power Requirements: 9V DC center-negative (200mA minimum).
  • Connectivity: 2x 1/4" Inputs, 2x 1/4" Outputs, USB-C for MIDI and Neuro editing, 1/8" Control Input.
  • Conversion: 56-bit Digital Signal Processing and 24-bit converters.
