I've been exploring digital music creation since the 60s when I traded in an analog Moog for a digital computer. I digitally sampled orchestral instruments, analyzing and re-synthesizing new ones. Doing this, I also helped development of FM synthesis and cofounded CCRMA as well as helping shape the founding of IRCAM. I love how far sampling and synthesis technology has evolved over the last 50 years, and how composers today, both young and old, new and experienced, are using it to create beautiful music.
