Nostalga:Trying to replace NEON and VIVALDI in my instrmnts.

I may sound crazy here, but since the couple of years since I've switched to an OSX only powerbook and Logic Express (used to use Cubase) I've had a horrible time finding anything as simple and good as Cubase's Neon vst and the freeware fm vst Vivaldi. Neon is Cubase only, and Vivaldi was discontinued (if I remember correctly, due to some argument in a forum) and will never be updated to OSX VST, much lest audio units or universal binary. I'm looking for suggestions as to anything that comes close, be they free or commercial. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
