The controls for the heart of sound have been set by Dimitri Schkoda: 6 demotracks for HGF STS-26 VSTi

These are rather dark (sickle ;-)) ambient tracks so be sure take some time for listening ;-)
The tracks provide a partly impression of the STS-26 sound capabilities.

Track 1: 10 MB - watch out it's a long atmospheric one!

One of the most crazy nights of my life in a few words, in thousand sounds of existence !

All tracks E X C L U S I V E L Y made with STS-26 PRO (except in "Ship of Souls" - one ridiculous loop!)
Even percussions and other waves are "food" for the machine.

Absolutely no external fx, direct recording and no special treatment.
Have fun

In making these demos, did Dimitri only use sf2 files that we will get with the STS-26 or did he use any additional wav. files (I'm talking about the "percussions and other waves" in the quote)?

He used additional waves/SF2 as the STS-26 Pro is an open system for this. Basically it should be no prob to add that stuff to the SF2 file coming with the STS-26 but in order to use it the way he did and in the _same instance_ of the Vsti there is need for a 'little' internal change. But this is not really that little, as it is not done by simply adding a button to switch MIDI key tracking off for pitch of one oscillator not to transpose perc. while playing. This would be only half the solution as this osc has also to be separated not to be triggered again on request etc.

This option opens up a completely new dimension to the STS and I have to check the different possibilities of what and how too add this which is not done in a few days incl. betatesting and reflecting this in additional new patches. So I'm afraid release will be delayed into December as it does not really make sense to release it before this great feature has been added now. Also this delay is a little elongated as I've a contract for a 6page article for a music magazine here to be done till early December taking me a couple of days too. This would have fit perfectly with the former estimated date of release but now this is all different.

So, sorry to all for keeping you waiting a bit more now but it must be done right.

cheers
