Hi,
I'm currently looking for retro gritty and dry sounds and fx.
I actually got Anamark, Dahornet, some Hahaha synths, some moog and c64 emulators and thinking about getting Oddity and/or Quadrasid.
Any suggestion about synths in the vein of those mentioned both in the commercial and free are would be really appreciated.
Thanks
Luca

Check out Jack Darks NeoRetro and his Sidboy... EXCELLENT stuff.
Odo has a wicked C64 emu and I believe the c64sounding bit-crusher fx is Odos too - great stuff!!!
Also have you tried everything from Tweakbench??? QuadraSid is a go to synth for me - I love it. If you have Reaktor try out Oki computer...
Oh and search the KvR index for Nano-x Great stuff!!!
You might want to try out the soundset linked in my sig - there is a couple of free sounds there for folks to try out
Hope this helps,
Dave

On the free side of things we have reFXs Claw which produces some really aggressive sounds. On the not so free side I'd recommend Poly-Ana http://www.admiralquality.com/products/Poly-Ana/ which can sound very mean in an ARP-kinda way.
