There's a better-than-average chance that I'm a complete idiot, of course. But ... are you seeing a MultiUpload link/button for all the parts?sprnva wrote:I'm not seeing that at all here For any of the parts. They all work just fine.

Not for all of them. From my experience, that tends to come and go. It's visible for me now. In this pic I've circled the download buttons. Clicking any of the dark buttons (like the one beside Depositfiles) will take you to the download site. For the MultiUpload one it just pops up a captcha window.

Yeah - that's what I got for the first couple ... just tried 01 again, and the MultiUpload one's gone ... !sprnva wrote:Not for all of them. From my experience, that tends to come and go. If they come and go - I'll keep trying until one 'comes' again!
Thanks you. I don't normally say this to complete strangers - even on the Internet - but I think I love you!

It's ok, you don't have to wait for the MU one to come back. The others are safe so long as you don't click on any misleading download buttons. Zippyshare and PutLocker are both pretty straightforward with no waiting times or silly captchas.

Er ...
... did I mention I'm not so smart ...?
In case there's anyone else out there having problems with the MultiUpload links sprnva posted on the previous page ...
If the link buttons are taking you to an iLivid downloader, take a look in the address bar. If you're seeing something that starts 'http://lnx.lu/6N?' - followed by another http:// ... - it's just the last bit you need ... remove everything up to and including the question mark.
Am I the only person who didn't know that?
Huge thanks to cosmosis, and to sprnva for his patience.

It's good to know what the root cause was and that you got the files in the end. I wasn't getting those lnx.lu things so I didn't know what was going on.

Thanks for the samples,sprnva, but...
..Good grief!
What's the deal with having 4 different downloads (which can't be simultaneous - there's a waiting period between downloads)
And if that isn't enough, you need to go through the minefield of multiupload, causing the confusion with the iLivid crap.
And then once you finally get to the depositfile pages, parts 3 and 4 don't exist.
One file (<200mb)... with one direct link... to a friendly host. Much simpler.
Here are the direct links (remember that parts 3 and 4 are dead):
http://depositfiles.com/files/8fdlsk0fg
http://depositfiles.com/files/psxwilig0
http://depositfiles.com/files/vkhaj0xlf
http://depositfiles.com/files/lt0lvygmf
Sorry to look a gift horse in the mouth, sprnva, but you've made it much more difficult than it should be.

sprnva has been jumping through hoops to make these available.
And if DF don't have all the files ... there's 4 or 5 more hosts to choose from.
Try these links:

Not fast. But the files exist.

dont blame the uploader for the pitfalls och have for free downloaders.
and the easy solutions are pointed out by the uploader a few posts above here in this thread..
and thanx for the upload of the missing files sprnva.

Ahhhh...the alternate links didn't show up on the page I ended up at. If breaking up a file into multiple parts is necessary, then multiple hosts is a good thing.Syntilla wrote: And if DF don't have all the files ... there's 4 or 5 more hosts to choose from.

(Actually, putlocker was lightning fast for me - 400+ mb/s!)
Apologies to sprnva and thanks again for the samples.
And thanks to Syntilla for setting me straight.

I tried to d/l this morning and it was totally confusing for me, although I knew if I looked carefully I'd find the files eventually. I appreciate that they have been re-upped and when I get home from work I'll retry.

Thanks for these. Big Fairlight fan. Remember going into Matrix studios on Little Russell st. with this mad American called Zeo, who brought one in and patiently programmed it for us for a couple of days. He did all the drums and bass on it for our track, that he was planning on releasing on his own label. Didn't realise at the time he was the Marketing Director and President of Fairlight itself. Or he was later on anyway. Here's where he's at now:
http://kiernan.co/morse.php
Track never got released, coz we were just about to sign to a major and they said no don't do it. Bit naughty really as they paid for the studio time for us, in what was a VERY expensive SSL equipped studio. Ended up not signing to that major as well, so it was all a waste of time. Birds, hands, bushes...
I was reading somewhere on the net that he demoed the Fairlight at AES in New York, and according to legend gave up the space next to him to Roger Lin to demo his drum machine. Some say it was the first showing of the first Drum Machine and the first Digital Sampler in the same room. Don't know about that, but they also said the place went nuts. He then went on to sell systems to Peter Gabriel, Trevor Horn and Daniel Miller.
Anyway, that's all very well and good, but when I went to load these up in DirectWave it said encrypted samples, not having it!
Is there a way to play these in the Kontakt Player or do I need the full version of Kontakt to load them? I have Komplete Elements already on my HD somewhere and haven't got around to installing it yet. I think that comes with some type of Kontakt player. Not sure, but if you think it will load and play these sounds, now might be a good time to install it. Or is there some other way?
cheers.

Hi. I realise this is a bit of a tricky question. Still not interested in installing Komplete Elements for the sake of it. Even for a trip down memory lane, if it won't work.
Maybe I should get myself over to Gearslutz after all.
</sarcasm>
There's not one person on KVR who knows the answer to this simple question? Oh mighty and knowledgeable sampling gurus?
Was it something I said?
Next time I'll skip the little history lesson, ok.
KVR I AM disappointed in you.
