Charlatan is great, since I do use it frequently I find the courage to make a feature request: a pan control would be super fantastic.Evan wrote:...
2) Pan control. For multi-layering again. For non modular hosts like Reaper, it's hard to control pan for single plugins in a chain.

Hello, my problem is that I installed charlatan and it only has the empty preset. What happens with the zip bank archives? Should I to paste in any folder? I try to put it in vst folder but the plugin doesn't has presets.
Thanks
Thanks

Use your host to load the fxp/fxb files for presets, Charlatan doesn't have a GUI for loading them.b_side wrote:Hello, my problem is that I installed charlatan and it only has the empty preset. Sorry, I don't remember how you'd do this in Cubase. You need to look in the Cubase manual for loading VST patches and banks.b_side wrote:z.prime I try it in the menu that has each plugin in cubase 5, in this case charlatan, and appears a long list only with the word empty

In Cubase 5, display the Charlatan GUI. In the floating window, at the top, there's a little cube icon on the right.b_side wrote:z.prime I try it in the menu that has each plugin in cubase 5, in this case charlatan, and appears a long list only with the word empty

Left click on it and select "import FXP/FXB". Then, just look for the bank/patch you want to load and you're done.
If you haven't already, you could check out the skin and free bank I've made for Charlatan.

No problem. That's a feature for synths that use the standard system of FXP and FXB files, when they don't have an internal browser.b_side wrote:Thank you very much Karten!!! I didn't know this function in cubase.
However, be aware that Cubase 5 will only save presets in its vstpreset format (since Charlatan doesn't have a separate "save" feature) and you won't be able to share them with non-cubase users or use them yourself outside Cubase.
So if you want to program your own patches, I'd recommend to do the programming in a small host like Cantabile free, save the banks or patches as FXB/FXP and then import them in Cubase. This way, your work will be futureproof.

My second one, I like this one better because of the black edge and dividers.
