Kontakt 5 Library sounds for Kore 2

Kontakt 5 is the first version of Kontakt since Kore came out that doesn't have its library in Kore format so it is not browsable in Kore. However it works fine in Kore so I have initiated a project to convert the library for Kore users to access:
http://www.native-instruments.com/forum ... p?t=146127
The first step was to replicate the user pages NI made for the Kontakt 4 library using Kontakt 5. I will probably make individual templates for each section (Synth, World, etc) but to start with I made a simple universal template that adapts to the Kontakt instrument loaded:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5646041/Kore%20 ... mplate.ksd
it doesn't show all params but it does load the top 16 which is pretty usable in itself.

don't need this one, but since I didn't see any "thanks, aMUSEd", I had to thank you (once again ) for all the brilliant Kore stuff you share! (it's time-consuming to make Kore templates)
Thank you, aMUSEd!

Thanks, will give it a try. I don't recall Kontakt 4 being so well well mapped out. In Kontakt 5, all the main parameters are already assigned to automation controls, which is awesome. I love that Kontakt 5 is now outside the realm of Kore, as I can make an automap template for a custom template.
Thanks for the Kore template!

Thanks for your feedback. Today I have made a start making more detailed and specific templates for the other sections and ended up converting all the Band section sounds to ksd so that's one whole section done:

Here are completed templates for the Synth, Vintage (with separate one for Vintage Drum Machines) and Urban Beats sections:

I haven't time to save all the instruments individually using these templates right now though - maybe someone else could do that? I am working on the World section now.

Not all done yet but about half way. Here's where we're at:
- Band - completed
Choir - completed
Orchestral - completed
Synth - template made and posted but sounds need converting and tagging
Urban Beats - template made and posted but sounds need converting and tagging
Vintage - templates made and posted but sounds need converting and tagging
World - in progress - I have made the templates and am converting the rest over the next day or two (time permitting)

When we have them all in I will go through them and tidy a few things up and then release the whole library

Not something I need, but I must say that you are nothing if not prolific. I'm sure there are a lot of KORE users who will be most grateful for the effort.

Thanks - we're almost there now - just a few sub-banks of the Vintage library to do then a bit of tidying up probably and we can release the whole library (Retro Machines 2 will probably come later as I don't have that yet)
Just to acknowledge credit needs to go not just to me but also fellow NI forum member hi-d-ho-man who has also put in a lot of effort in converting instruments.

It's done so here is the completed Kontakt 5 Library converted to Koresounds by myself and hi-d-ho-man (from the NI forum). We have improved on the Kontakt 4 Library patches by making more detailed and specialised templates that actually follow more closely the layout of each instrument (rather than one single page generic one for everything as NI did with the K4 Koresounds) and in some cases the tagging is more detailed (although we have avoided tagging for genre and timbre in most cases as these are subjective decisions - you can add those yourselves if you want).
The only thing we have not converted is the Legacy VSL instruments as they are all incorporated into the K5 versions and don't really have a gui to map to anyway. Also I am still waiting for my Retro Machines so that may have to come later.
I have been able to delete my K4 library now and put this in its place so it saves a lot of disk space.

Thanks to hi-d-ho-man for his invaluable assistance and all who offered support. This went a lot quicker than I had anticipated and once the templates had been made it didn't seem much more to just continue to convert stuff.
