You can view anything in any way you please, but legally speaking Abandonware doesn't exist - as described in that article.Numanoid wrote:Can the M-RGT stuff now be viewed as abandonware?

Unless you live in a country where it does, of course.

Of course, and someone might live in a country where no copyright laws exist...chaosWyrM wrote:also, legally actionable ≠ illegal. which i guess is a subject for another time.

Anyway, generally, Abandonware is a moral concept. Because even if no one owns the author right / copyright / usage right, you don't own it either.

well. again, legally speaking, if there are no parties willing or able to file a suit against you...then you can do whatever you want...legally speaking.
youll have to decide for yourself where that stands morally.
contrary to popular belief here at kvr, there are things which could get you sued...but are not in fact illegal.
as mentioned...those two things are not the same.
but again...thats a topic for another time.

yeah...i bought them all straight away when they were released, i didnt even demo them. i mean...they are so good, and the price was beyond reasonable...they were so cheap, it kinda felt like i was stealing them.Numanoid wrote:As I already own a full license to the M-RGT software bundle, I got mine cleared for usagechaosWyrM wrote:youll have to decide for yourself where that stands morally.
