The point is that you want others to do your work.

Yes of course I want shortcuts if possible, not at least some certainty that it even can be done. I have not the patience to test all my softsynths on this. A Shortcut is one of the things posting on a forum is good for when it works.

Your standards to what people should and shouldn't do themselves do not apply to me I am afraid. I admire your own efforts in this respect but they cannot be deducted as universal rules that can be applied to every living creature on Earth.

And I still cannot see what these points has to do with the analogs I have but never mind that. Let us just call it the day. Thanks for the suggestion.

If anyone wants to edit it further, please go ahead.

Cheers
Maybe I am pushing this but I haven't installed Sylenth 1 for the time being so could you provide a sound snippet to do an a/b comparison with the video?

I'd like to see someone emulate wrecked speakers, or tubes gone soft.... :help: :hihi: :hihi:

Absolutely in it's own right if it is me you are asking. However just like Hakey's or Ingonator's examples it is not something that resemble those examples I posted in my OP sequence and timbre wise. I would get pretty impressed if you could do these with the same likeness.

I did give it a quick shot but was too lazy to recreate the step sequencer. Just did two LFOs instead. Concentarted on big bottom, not so much on squelchy resonance:

That sounds more interesting (as in "how much ?") than the Youtube example OP linked.

It is a little hard to compare because it is not a snippet with the same sequence as in the video but it definitely got a good touch of the Leibzig sound. I do not quite get the wow-experience of the Leibzig vid but I do really like the example in it's own right. I could live with this as a best bet in the softsynth division though I would love getting even closer. Now is it Diva or Zebra in action?

Well, I'm not good at hearing sequences and re-programming them, I just flung this one into Diva's sequencer. Then set up the Triple VCO with 3rd in sync to first, ran through Uhbie filter with a good amount of feedback into the mixer. For live tweaking used Env2->filter cutoff, cutoff, VCO3 volume.

I could ahve recorded ModWheel and BreathControl for the sequence, but figured I'd be quicker with LFOs on Waveform (PWM), VCO3 tune and Cutoff.

With the right sequence, step sequenced ModWheel and a bit o tweaking (VCOs drive filter too much in comparison to video), I think one could get reasonably close. Requires Diva 1.3 though, which isn't out yet.

Forgot, sequencer gate time was tweaked too, and resonance was taken out for a bit (where it becomes a tad too thin, in the middle)

Post

The Leipzig S seems to use a Moog filter so Diva could be the perfect choice (as i already mentioned earlier...).

I'm getting tired of your trolling :x

Every month some d**khead has to come in here and start one these hardware vs software threads? :bang:
Trolling? You should not use words you do not understand. Now I have at least got Urs on the specific task asked for instead of being forced to read all the better-knowing monologues and sorry ass excuses for not acting on the challenge. Tonight I am going to install sylenth one and check the preset kindly provided.

If you do not like it around, why don't you just split? Entering a thread you do not like is kind of self-contradictory don' t you think?

I did not use the term "warm" and the synths mentioned can hardly reproduce my examples. It is all talk, talk, talk! I provided a challenge. Now reproduce my examples and provide some proof or STFU!

BTW: Your Tube Ohm example will not do it. It is not close to anything I have posted.
Really...are you serious? You want me to piss away hours of my time digging through all of my synths and program from scratch,to try to replicate a specific tweak from a hardware synth? Why bother?
Even if I were to do that and post it here, you would pick it apart & dismiss it,simply because I didn't use a piece of hardware to do it.

I am not going to waste my time to try & satisfy your psychosomatic delusions about hardware versus software.

I made a suggestion for to explore at least some of the softsynths I mentioned and you tell me to shut the f**k up?

F**k you...go to TubeOhm's website,try the demos and challenge yourself,you goddamn jack-ass.
