It is a great synth and has character of his own, i would compare it to Monark.

Yeah, I know, but there has been so much back and forward when it comes to this sale in general, that it is difficult to know what is correct.chk071 wrote:Or maybe people could just read the posts after! Ok, will do so.
One un-cool thing with Halion Sonic 2 is that it doens't come with an uninstaller, and my machine froze up when I tried to use the one built into Windows...

Couldn't find it, in either Steinberg folder in my Programs, appdata folder or VST folder.chk071 wrote:Windows uses the Halion Sonic uninstaller if then, though. Should be in the folder Halion Sonice was installed to, or elsewhere.

Alrightie. I could be wrong (again). Always thought the uninstallers come from the installed programs themselves. Maybe some of them use Windows uninstallers though, and some do not.

Steinberg usually has its own installers for Each Commercial VST Plugin.
What you do is you run the Installer to Uninstall, there is a Remove option.
Or you can use CCleaner to uninstall each component.

I did that, but that didn't launch an uninstaller.BasariStudios wrote:Steinberg usually has its own installers for Each Commercial VST Plugin.

However, it is all water under the bridge now. There was a problem that uninstalling HS2 the Windows default way, led to one of the vstsound packages in Dark Planet being removed to. But I found that package on the HS2 iso, and copied it back onto the harddrive and then Dark Planet worked without errors again.

Anyone using Retrologue on Windows XP? IIRC I ran the demo on my XP system when it was first released. Since it's tied to the elicencer, I can't try it again to confirm.
Steinbergs' system requirements are Windows 7 or 8.
I would get it if I knew that it worked!

I have it working on my internet WinXP computer.......was giving it a play a couple of hours ago.
Edit: Was just having another play with Retrologue on the WinXp machine. It goes really well with Blue Arp.....very cool combination.

Add it to cart from the specials (valentines day) page.Integratron wrote:So when I go to order, I don't see any place to add " VALENTINESDAY14" for the promo pricing?????????????????
On the page that opens, look for, "If you have a coupon, please enter your code here."
Click that and your set..

For some reason or other it looks like Retrologue is not part of the promoIntegratron wrote:So when I go to order, I don't see any place to add " VALENTINESDAY14" for the promo pricing?????????????????

Only a limited selection of products is in the sale, perhaps just the ones on this page:

Perhaps trial copies on a DVD in addition. In any case, I was hoping to upgrade Halion Sonic to Halion, but that does not qualify for the discount either.
