I've been interested in Vacaloid 4 since its announcement. I am still confused by the English Vacaloid site saying that V4 is only available outside of the USA.

While I know that Cyber Diva is V4 English and available there is also V4 Luka English and I don't see that being offered anywhere yet.

1st time I kinda like the Vocaloid version better than the original, only slightly but its clear and easy to understand. I like the Vocaloid chorus a lot.

wish I could grab these online in the USA and download, really confusing what ya can and can't get.

Has i could hear there still some typical artifacts related to the formant frequencies shifting, reminds me real-time harmonizer effect on that ground,...not a bad thing in itself if you like the color it give to the voice synthesis process

interesting and very instructive comparison with the original performance

So currently as a person in the USA I cannot obtain Vocaloid 4 products until someone starts letting me buy them. I have read the entire thread. I know I can buy from ebay.com from the guy in japan who will ship the DVDs. I would prefer to buy legal, legit prober way AND right now it does not seem to be able to due that.

If I lived in England , the EU or Chile I could buy from the English vocaliod store.

Ok well sorry about that. Have you tried to purchase it at the english Vocaloid store even though you are located in US? Try that. If you can't do it I can buy it for you and send you the serial.

I haven't tried yet. I read somewhere that the Vocaloid 4 products were coming to a US store in the summer.

I can buy from Big Fish and get Luka V4 but there is nowhere to buy Cyber Diva OR the Vocaloid 4 editor yet.

I will just wait a bit longer and keep my eyes open.

it just seemed rather odd that US is the only distribution that is blocked right now.

So has anyone heard when Vocaloid 4 might be shipping in the US? If there's no date in sight, I think I'm going to finally purchase it on ebay now.

Also, what singers are available for Vocaloid 4? I haven't kept up with the releases.

No, nothing yet and I'm getting a little fed up waiting. I hate having to go to Ebay but if they don't release it by the end of the year I may have to.

Thanks for the offer Hans! But I think I'm just going to buy it off eBay. What vocaloids do you have btw?

People on eBay are writing that the Vocaloids Editor is for PC and Mac, which is incorrect. It's only for PC like the online Vocaloid store shows. Only the Editor for Cubase works on Mac I believe.

The CYBER DIVA is sold by Yamaha Vocaloid.

Got some cryptic email from Yamaha in July 2015 stating no vocaloid 4 yet in USA, soon very soon.

The Cubase edition is sold by: Yutano Trading and Fulfilled by Amazon

I don't think that this has anything to do with Yamaha except for the trademark. It might be that the company is based in US or something, but they are then importing it from Japan, just like I purchased it directly from a seller located in Japan.

I just have Cyber Diva and haven't had much time to use it. What is worse however is that the Cubase Vocaloid Editor has a huge bug with Windows8/Cubase8 and high resolution screens. The plugin makes Cubase unstable and the drop down menus impossible to read and click and other thing. This is pretty embarrasing since Yamaha can't even get their own plugin to work with the sequencer they own and have developed a special edition to. I tried to email back and forth to the official Vocaloid support and I got a helpless reply from a guy that obviously didn't understand much english. He gave me a useless suggestion and when I told him it was a bug he answered that he would forward it to the Vocaloid development team and I woud get a reply for them. I never heard anything. And the guy didn't even write his first name.

Vocaloid for Cubase has just been updated but I haven't had the time to install it. But in the bugfix statement there is nothing about fixing this high resolution screen problem.

These are 3rd party sellers just like on Ebay. Yamaha does not sell items directly on either. If you buy from Amazon, you're essentially buying from Ebay.

In other words, let the buyer beware that he's not going to run into problems.

Vocaloid 4 looks to be available soon on the official english website
