Yeah, I bought the boxed version as well, since it was 13% cheaper than the direct download from spectrasonics.

Anyone compared the C7 to the Cinematic Studio Series piano?

Bought it from here - they seemed to have the best UK price (£275):

I did not. After trying that I see the memory use of the C7 is around 1.1-1.2GB. It's less, but not what I'd call a small footprint. The good news is RAM is inexpensive these days.Echoes in the Attic wrote:And you've turned on disk streaming or whatever the setting is?bmrzycki wrote:I'm loading Keyscape from an SSD and yes, it uses about 2+GB for the C7 library.Echoes in the Attic wrote:Does it use all that ram even if streamed from an SSD?bmrzycki wrote:I haven't extensively tested it but I find it's much more memory hungry than CPU hungry. For example, the full C7 piano takes about 2GB+ of resident RAM. You can choose to thin the samples loaded though. Some of the other instruments use less of course.aMUSEd wrote:What's the CPU usage like?

12% after two days. Seems to predict between 4 and 7 days to go. So painful!

Had my first real play this weekend. Sounds fantastic but I'm missing being able to assign aftertouch to pitch (or anything) for the EPs and Clavs as I use that a lot for real vibrato. Is there a way?

I don't know for sure, but in Omni it's in the mod matrix. Don't know if its possible in standalone Keyscape.aMUSEd wrote:Had my first real play this weekend. Yeah I know I could do that but it should be available for Keyscape too.
I wonder if I make a custom patch with AT setup in Omnisphere if it will still work in Keyscape?

Interesting notion - report back when you've tried it, I'd be curious to know.aMUSEd wrote:Yeah I know I could do that but it should be available for Keyscape too.

Doesn't work, I can make the Omnisphere patch respond to AT no problem but can't save it in a format Keyscape will recognise.
