My quick, short and simple entry. It is interesting synth and I can't miss this round since it is Tarons synth 8) . Good for percs so how can I miss this round.

It will be better if there are labels for all controls visible all the time since one can get lost while tweaking the synth. Also some strange behavior for string B not work for all notes. Got audio buffer overflow when I turn global volume to max (2.0) and hit any note in FL. Need to close FL and reopen project otherwise works fine.

Nice Track, TrojakEW, think you'll become my benchmark in terms of drums!
But let me ask you this - there's some small parts where my untrained ears hear ugly resonances and secondly i would like to ask if this out-of-tune in some parts is on purpose? There was another user whose track also made my toe nails go up caused by a out-of-tune bass pad...

As I already said, I gave up. Just can confirm some of 574X and Frostlines comments. And after a unpleasant resonance catastrophy which rendered the synth silent until reload of the DAW, I went on "OSC vavation" for this month...anyway not bad, so I could give my MeldaProduction toys some love ;-)

Trojak, Fantastic! You've really worked with LotS nature and exposed it. Just gorgeous!
The next release already has some taming aspects, reducing some more the chance of strange accidents.
As for taming the volume knobs, that's the worst trouble with this kind of synthesis. I could prohibit extremes, but it would reduce possibilities on the other end. It's so difficult to balance the output of this. You may never know what I've already had to do to make this approach work in the first place, balancing out frequencies and their interactions, keeping track of what's happening in every stage to tame this sort of beast. It's tough.
LotS is all about taking chances, really, as weird as it sounds. The results can be some of the most natural, living sounds, native to the machine, yet, native to some forces of nature at the same time.
I must show you how it works, what you should be aware of. Before than, nothing you do is your fault, but after that it is!
That sounds harsh and outrageous, I know, but when you realize that this is a specific tool, you'll know not to cut yourself. You know, like a kitchen knife. Thus, it's my fault for not properly introducing you to everything.

HOWEVER, I'm tracking down actual bugs right now and some really did sneak in. And there's my enormous degree of stupidity and ignorance that I have to battle, too. I have to pull myself together this whole time, not to curl into a fetal position under my desk, hahahaha...it's true. Probably rather outside, trembling, with a cigarette in my jittery claws...sort of looking like Gollum at his worst.
(And I'm not even a fanboy...how weird is that?!)

Anyway...I'm on it and already seem to be making some headway!

Thanks for your feedback, hanging in there and for pulling off this beautiful marvel, Trojak! :tu: :tu: :tu:

Peter H: yea I have tried to balance that resonance thing but I have failed  . Everytime I tune this for my DT880 become bad for other headphones and vice versa. Synth is making this resonant sound on "sustained" (decay for stringA at 1) , instruments. Out of tune part are on purpurose - not what I really want to do but well :P . Thanks btw.

Taron: Well LotS is very good for percs. Dont blame you for bugs. I know how annoying is to track what can cause problems especiallly when every DAW can produce different bugs combined with different OS and hardware. It is nightmare.
Consider to adding cutoff mod for filters from note velocity. This is useful for percs. Also as I mention before always visible labels for controls will be helpfull for user while creating presets. Maybe global envelope for controling attack since setting rise > 1 on string lowers overall volume and there is no such a option on string B.
I have found holding shift is used for finentuning, but reset to default (not found it) will be usable too (ctrl+click for example) or type in value.
It is nice synth and it was fun to work with it. :tu: Oh and thank you.

Since there are not many presets for now I attached my presets used in my track. Nothing special 8) . One of them use Microtuning feature.

AH, great response, THANK YOU!
I've found one really strange problem with "setChunks" at startup of MuLab. I don't know, yet, what I'm doing wrong, but it spits out garbage, it seems. I must have missed something and will track it down today. This should well be the source for a number of issues, including failing String B, actually. So.... GReAT...and, eh, horrible! I'm still such a noob with VSTs.

I'll figure it out!
As for GUI design, hmmm, well...let me make a video first. Then it'll get more interesting and clearer! I value your input a lot, though. It's not surprising that first time users are puzzled by "unlabeled" dials.

I like the synth, it has nice clean sounds. Started playing with the kick first, then a couple hours later, hey I almost got a song :D

BTW that snare is MAGIC :)

 ...nick, you lift me up! Thanks!
I figured, I should start a thread, dedicated to fixes and improvements, rather than have us squeeze too much technicalities between all the sweet submissions?!
Lord of the Springs v2-The New Powers

I hope, that's a good place and it will be a nice (and quick) platform to get through some of the troubles and I can update you on things!

The composition is really cute, Bob! The mix of the really impressive lead "piano" is a bit harsh... as if a bandpass was pushed to the brim at around 1000hz or so?! A little bit like a very powerful telephone, you know. The rest is VERY pleasant! Very solid job on that! :tu:
I hope, you'll get to look into taming that piano lead to bring this one really home. :phones:

Thanks Taron - yeah, it does hit and ring a bit in the ears ... just wanted to get it out there ... should be able to tame this one ...

I have decided to drop the lead by an octave rather than trying to "tune out" the unwanted harshness - the character of the sound was getting lost trying to EQ it, or worse, re-programming the sound in LotS.

Uploading in a few minutes time.

I used Airwave (https://github.com/phantom-code/airwave/releases) to bridge the vst, but it works in Carla too (http://kxstudio.linuxaudio.org/Applications:Carla)

yay!
