Now that Modelmaker will be available for the Neuron VS, I think it looks like a much more appealing instrument.
I'm wondering if any kind Neuron user might explain what they are able to do with Modelmaker (I've read the promo materials, like to hear user experience).
Also would be just fabulous if someone would be up to doing several before/after style demos. Something like: I took these three samples, and this is what I can do with them.
Any takers?

Think of Modelmaker as a tool for importing your own sounds into Neuron....the only thing that can influence a sound is a parameter set and manling (on Neuron) will pretty much depend on it (default/multipurpose parsets have less "special" functions ie. a guitar model with a stringed/picked parameter set will have parameter directly related to the instrument)....
Yes, I could make some before/after demos, but keep in mind you can transform most stuff into completely unrecognizable ambient mash (in a nice way)...

@shamann
Actually this is a nice idea for a tutorial or a how-to article in a magazine.
We´re currently creating a Neuron Model/Preset library, some details here http://www.backintimerecords.de/bitr053.htm, and a comparsion of the original samples with the following models would be easy to do.
What else would you expect concerning an in-depth tutorial? Comparsion with other analysing software like Cameleon, Doppelmangler, etc.?

That would be great, Jan. I mostly would like to just get an idea of what this brings to the instrument in terms of functionality.püRe wrote:Yes, I could make some before/after demos, but keep in mind you can transform most stuff into completely unrecognizable ambient mash (in a nice way)...
I think before/after would be helpful. It just helps show what kind of strengths the instrument has. Lots of instruments of resynth and sample import, but often each one offers different design approaches that change the way you play it.kpr wrote:We´re currently creating a Neuron Model/Preset library, some details here http://www.backintimerecords.de/bitr053.htm, and a comparsion of the original samples with the following models would be easy to do.

A comparison of several instruments would be very cool. Might be worth including Rhino and Rephrase in the comparison.
Cheers,
