Can someone tell me how to route the output of a patch you have creatind through an LFO to add shimmer to the sound?

More precise please: volume, pan or what output?

I guess what I want is to effect the overall volume with an LFO to add shimmer to the patch.

This works with all instruments:

Automate the instrument volume out with your host. A pulse would give tremolo. A sine with a damped amplitude may do the trick.
