Hi guys,
I'm working on a progressive house track at the minute. It's deep melodic type track and the one thing I need to give it that final touch is a synth/sound along the lines of the lead pluck guitar sound from Solarstone's Seven Cities or Chicane's Halcyon.
Has anyone got an idea of a preset on VST that comes anyway close to it? I have all the major VST's like sylenth, Massive, FM-8.
I understand that the original sounds were produced using the Nord Lead. I had a look on google and I can't seem to find anyone who knows of a closely sounding preset.

Chicane - Halcyon: (Lead at 3.20 mins)

Hopefully you can help
Regards,
Eddie

You can download the Nord Modular G2 Demo for free
http://www.clavia.com/products/nordmodular/demo.htm
And then download the factory patches, which include Nord Lead "Lead" patches.

I guess that will get you closest to the sound you are looking for.
The NordModular is a StandAlone version, so you will need to route the audio into your host using Soundflower, Jack, or a similar application.
