Hey, everyone. I wonder what this sound in intro is. I supposed it's some sort of woodwind, tried kontakt woodwinds, a lot of them from Ethnoworld. Applied distortion, chorus, but nothing really got close to that sound. Maybe it's sort of FM pad? I tried Absynth but every sound i create sounds so muddy.
Could anyone help me with this pad?

I think it's a pitched down sample of a woodwind with some distortion and reverb, but if you load the song into a sampler and play it a little higher you'll hear it. A lot of the signature sound of silent hill is sample manipulation, Resting Comfortably is another good one from SH4 where the whole thing is just a short loop that has been pitched way down and drowned in reverb
