Terraformer howling sound (Man of Steel)

Hey,

can someone point me into the right direction for making this sound?

its obvious that it has a env pitch mod and some LFO'ed (1/16?) moving filter (notch?) and a slower stereo filter on top of maybe 2 detuned and lowpassed saws [or another WAVE?]?

and theres a lot of distortion in there which kind of seems to build a great portion of the sound!

but like it behaves with this kind of psychoacoustic things I kind of seem to miss the main signature / characterstics. if someone could give me a hint?
