How do they do this vocal sound?

In song's like David Guetta - This One's For You and DJ Snake - Middle (and many others), they have this kind of synthy sounding vocal thing playing the melody during the chorus. I Took a Pill in Ibiza (Seeb remix) has it too.
What the heck is that? Is it a synth patch or a processed vocal? Any tutorials on how it's done? Seems pretty common these days.
EDIT: Solved it!

Pretty much sure they use a sampler to work with the vocals. That's the same trick Afrojack did for No Beef, or Major Lazer did for Pon De Floor.
Here's a tutorial on how to do it with Logic X but you can do the same thing with FL or Ableton Live or whatever you just need a sampler :

Yeah, this 80s style sampler work with vocals has made such an unlikely comeback recently. Sounds surprisingly fresh again despite being done to death back when samplers first appeared and the sound was a novelty.
