That's cool they were at Musikmesse this year, there definitely hasn't been much activity from anyone as far as vst host hardware. At the moment, I know you can easily get a quad core laptop for $300 new, that's the best value I know of.

Hello guys,
I'm the software engineer from http://www.virtones.com (http://www.virtones.com), I personally created the host software on the vPed.
I can confirm to you that vPed is ready for shipping, anyone that's interested can write to info@vped.net (mailto:info@vped.net) for pricing and delivery information.

Thank you for your patience ;-)

Looks cool! I just play in the living room so I'll be looking from a distance. :hyper:

You guys that are anti-iPad are funny. Jamup, Ampkit+, several others, are great at guitar amp simulation. I haven't owned an actual amp in over ten years with various things like Line 6 Pod first, then various software amps including the free G suite Marshall 800, then on to iOS amp sims. iPad plus the 40 watt iLoud speaker with 1/4" guitar input and variable input gain or my Apogee Jam interface are a lot of bang for the buck and beats lugging the last amp I owned around which was a nice condition first edition 60 watt three channel All tube Peavey Triumph series. I get tones that rival it and more variation than I need with a bunch of great amp models and fx.

This thing looks pretty cool though.

Past real amps:
Marshall 12 watt
Laney 4 channel tube
Fender twin
Dean Markley 60 watt tube (inarguably the loudest 60 watt combo I've ever played through)
Marshall 50 watt tube
Roland JC120
Peavey Triumph 60 tube
