Maybe it has some kind of filtering inside, but I see no mention to filter in the specifications. Nevertheless, an interesting little unit. Suddenly, we have lots of small hardware boxes and gear to choose fromIngonator wrote:Streichfett is added to the Waldorf website and the website seems to have a new design now:

New website design, new products and multiple product updates including the important 64-bit plugin updates.
At the moment a lot of things seem to happen at Waldorf which is amazing IMO.

I see no mention of analog whatsoever. Nothing about divide down oscillators, BBDs...
This basically appears to be an extremely limited softsynth in a box for too much money. I'll pick one up when they're blowing them out on clearance. Or I'll buy one used.

Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

With a fully polyphonic engine combined with a solo, monophonic section its ideal for recreating how adult movies sounded thirty years ago
unusual selling point.....

For one thing, I'm gobsmacked that someone's made a dedicated string machine in hardware. There is a need though, no hardware analog or wavetable synth plays or sounds anything like a string machine, although there are many good plug-ins.
The physical format's completely wrong though - the different string footages should be on separate faders. It doesn't look like Waldorf are aiming for a specific emulation.
I keep wondering when the likes of Nord will realise that with their transistor organ models, they are only a simple paraphonic envelope and ensemble chorus away from producing a proper stringer?

I almost missed that the updated Waldorf website also includes a new users forum:
http://www.waldorf-music.info/forum-en
So far the Waldorf forum was a mailing list.
Creating a new account seems to lead to the product registration. Maybe creating an account is not working properly yet.
The product registration is alos found at the bottom at the website:
http://www.waldorf-music.info/product-register
Maybe you have to register a product to enter the forum. will try to check it.
