Reccomend me a new 4-channel audio interface

I'm very unhappy with the Alesis iO4. Not only does it not really have 4 channels (only two in 24-bit mode) but the headphone jack puts out a constant low-pitched hum that doesn't go away, the thing it built terribly cheap, Alesis didn't write ASIO drivers for it... the list goes on.
Anyway, to sum up: I'm searching for a good, 4-channel, 24-bit, ASIO compliant, USB audio interface. Please let me know what actually works...thanks.

I love my Audio Kontrol 1 ... 2 in 4 out. The Komplete Audio 6 (?) looks good too. NI stuff is solid and reliable in my experience.

I have the smaller UR 22 and I am very pleased with it.

My vote goes to NI Audio Control 6. I have the first version and it has been performing exceptionally well. Superb audio quality and very stable low latency drivers.

I've had several Steinberg interfaces and they are head and shoulder above the competition in terms of quality, driver stability and performance. I've also got the UR22 at the moment and it's built like a tank.
The UR44 also has a good spec and low price.

Steinberg has the best driver support in low-mid range market, ur44 is the best option IMHO.

Steinberg may have fairly stable drivers, but Komplete Audio 6 also has by far the best performance in the low-mid range, less noise than UR44, and S/PDIF which would be essential if you use an external effects processor or converter with S/PDIF I/O.rod_zero wrote:Steinberg has the best driver support in low-mid range market, ur44 is the best option IMHO.

I strongly suggest you take a look at the Presonus Audiobox 44VSL:
http://www.presonus.com/products/AudioBox-44VSL
It has some great features that you simply will not find in other USB interfaces.
I own the 1818VSL and LOVE IT!!
