Issues with Novation Launchkey 61 in Ableton Live. Keyboard keys not being keys?

I'm having a weird issue with the launchkey when I work in Ableton Live. Some of the keys on the highest octave of the keyboard don't actually function as keys and instead pressing them starts recording a clip on one of the tracks. I have a screenshot of a virtual keyboard instrument. All the keys between the two ones pressed down(C to G sharp) don't play notes. If I transpose my keyboard the non-working keys would transpose on my keyboard too but it stays the same position on the virtual instrument.

It's the exact same in any instrument. I have an 88 key casio and all the keys work fine in Ableton. Any ideas?

Figured it out. It was a problem with the midi/sync settings in live. The manual that comes with the keyboard is very incorrect for daw setup guide.
