It costs about $1400 these days

Pricewise I think I still would get the Moog Sub 37

Dominion sounds superb. I had a chance to play it at MusikMesse 2014. I'd like to test it this year too, see what's changed, if anything.

I played on what could be described as a prototype so that's why I'd like to test it again.
There is a lot to love about Dominion (and the Sub37). I shouldn't be here though, as my GAS is rising, and I want to fulfill my GAS this year with a Prophet 6.

I'm also interested in the Prophet 6... but I have not actually seen any videos that made me love the sound...himalaya wrote:I played on what could be described as a prototype so that's why I'd like to test it again.

Dominion seems pretty sweet!

They don't ship the Dominion 1s to the US, last I talked to MFB. Not sure how to get that price here.Numanoid wrote:It costs about $1400 these days

My experiences with this Instrument were good, too.
It's a heavy beast, maybe 10kg or so, so nothing you would love to have on your lap for long ... but the sound is very raw and powerful.
I had to change the internal settings for the ADSR envelopes to my taste (which is easy, the OS allows you to do a lot of stuff), so I had finer options to do percussive sound design on it.
It's always the same ... watching videos over and over until the GAS got so big that you can't resist and buy the thing
Another new review I found is this one, it's German though but there are English subtitles as far as I can tell:

I received my Dominion 1 about a week ago and I am very impressed by the built quality and also by the sound of this instrument.benjaminxxx wrote:My experiences with this Instrument were good, too.

How did you change the envelope settings to make it work better for percussive sounds? I would really like to know this as these are the type of sounds I use 90% of time in my own music.

I played the OB6 at NAMM'16 and yes, it is what I'd get in 2016. This is such an inspiring synth...EvilDragon wrote:You should go with OB6, IMHOhimalaya wrote:and I want to fulfill my GAS this year with a Prophet 6.
