I have and use the last free version of Helix, and really want the commercial version (maybe if there's a Christmas discount? wink wink) but the thing stopping me from using the version that I have now is that it takes a while to open the GUI. Not just the first time, but every time I open it I have to wait about 8 seconds for it to open. Is that the same in the commercial version?

You can download the demo and try by yourself, obviously.

In short yes, the same time to open the GUI on the demo version as the proper version.
