It is puzzling that MStereoProcessor shows activity with the phase scope and the width meter constantly moving when there's no audio at all. The project was opened and the transport was not started but still, these meters are showing constant rapid activity. What gives ? And what to make of that when reading these meters during playback ?

All is silent here (in Reaper 5.92). And, yes, I selected the same preset.

I use the latest Bitwig which is a beta release. What would be the chances of introducing noise in a beta release ? I mean, that part of the software should be stable.

Further troubleshooting has shown that there's actually noise when nothing is playing at it comes from the Repro-5 synth programmed with a bass preset.
EDIT: It's actually not the Repro-5 synth itself, but one of the FX that's part of it, the Lyrebird echo/delay unit.
