Post

This is where you can post links to your archives or dump disassembled bodies (read: isolated tracks) upon request so that everyone can share.

But please be sure that *only* old contest entries should be used! And scientists, please cite your sources when submitting your final monstrosities.

For the record, the old contest archive link as well as my personal contest entry archive are in my signature below.

Happy hacking,

I won't have time for the contest this month, and I suck at remixing anyway, but I thought that I could still provide some appropriately creepy stuff to mangle.

No drums, just some creepy sounds and melody snippets in ogg format.

Download here.......if you dare!!!

Here is the isolated sax solo from my recent "Sax, Dub, Understanding" entry:

OK, I'll help out.
Here is Donks unforgettable "Crunk it up bitch! Crunk it!"
http://home.comcast.net/~compoundstudio ... erlake.WAV

And Vurt's classic rendition of Black Sabbaths "Paranoid" which I am sure will sound even more scary with the right FX.
http://home.comcast.net/~compoundstudios/Vurt-tu2.WAV

Let's get some more stuff in here. I need more stuff!

I've posted over 100 MB of individual stereo and mono 44.1 kHz WAV files in the Halloween Treats folder on my server. It's an eclectic bunch of stuff that you may or may not find suitable for your needs. Lots of my weird synth patches, Moogs, theremin, space guitars, etc... The files are all named in the format: original song_track_orig BPM. I'll try to add more as time allows, but help yourself to what's there...

Whoa thanks George. If anyone has any specfic request for my stuff please let me know.

As requested by Hovmod, here's the non-processed vocal part of my February05 entry. Maigron. (wav 9257 Kb)

have fun.

For multiphonic (and anyone else):
barnadine_flown_vox.wav (3.2mb)

Not sure about the scariness, mind you, but children do tend to hide when I sing.

A few scraps from the month before while I'm here:
barnadine_cellular_pungi.wav (2mb)
barnadine_cellular_tinwhistle.wav (1.8mb)
barnadine_cellular_squelch.wav (1.6mb)

You might get dead links to my older entries in Markleford's lists (I rejigged my site a while back), but if you poke around my webpage a bit you can still find most of 'em, probably on the archive page.

You: Is that stuff from old KVR contest entries?

Post

I went looking through my own archives for last years FEAR contest 'he lives', but for the life of me can't find the original cubase file. Which will probably mean the same for some other contest tracks, but if there's anything in it that I may be able to retrieve......

Yeah, they're all from contest entries:
acc: Acceleration, April 2004
atyf: After Them You Fools, January 2004
bbs: Broadband Sally, November 2003
cs: Cs, July 2004
pb: The Pink Brain, October 2003
pitchblended: pitchblended, September 2005 Mashup of other entries
shado: SHADO Control, June 2004

I'm making a ton of loops of other people's stuff too if anyone want them, I'll post them shortly - but they will not be labeled properly (it would interfere with my project). However, they are all from former contest entries and you might be able to figure out to whom they belong...
