Yeah, a different kind of joint for me.

Short story -

A very cool neighbor of mine turned me onto Mickey Newbury recently. When he discovered that I do music, and after hearing one of my CD's he suggested that I do an ambient take on Mickey. Well considering that this cool 73-year-old cat was actually grooving on my shiz, I thought that maybe I should give it a go. So I did.

Here is my take on San Francisco Mabel Joy by Mickey Newbury in true n.y.a.h. fashion.

I checked out his bio and I seem to recall a bit of his music from when I was a kid.

Rebels are cool when your a kid. I still like to give a whoop and a holler every now and them too. :hihi: 8)

thanks norm :)

yeah bruce, i dig it. the rebel aspects i really like about him the more i learn is how he rebeled against the record industry. being a guy that wrote and performed his own songs, many of which were really dark was outside of the norm in his industry.

but rebellion in general is fun too. shit, i still like to throw a brick through a window every now and then... erm, i mean hoot or holler :look:
