tenebrae - (very) dark ambient piece

a bit late on the train, I listen to this manymany times these days. The nice thing besides many others is that it "stretches" the listener's background a bit, meaning "yxou start to listen in new ways to music you already know".
About 2/3 of my CDs are classical CDs, and if I'd burn that piece on a CD and put it besides Thomas Tallis, to me it's like a dark wind blowing through spem in alium . I like that I always stopped at about 5:30, and read afterwards Respirator likes those seconds too in the piece.
I went out on a sunny cooold day at Hamburg (some minus 15 degrees Celsius,very rarely found here) and listened to it in the night. Nice to listen to this staring at dark water.
(Ich würde mich nicht wundern, wenn Joseph Ratzinger das gerne hören würde...nicht im geringsten)
